Program Description

Event Details

This workshop will help participants identify which energy usage choices have the biggest impact on comfort, cost, and climate. Participants will develop an energy action plan to reduce energy use in their homes. The goal is to find and initiate actions that lead to energy savings through a problem-solving strategy session. Participants will explore strategies for reducing energy costs and write down actions appropriate for their household, sharing their chosen actions at the end.

Learn about heat pumps, insulation, and how to take advantage of federal tax credits, utility rebates and state incentives! Also covered in this session: HEAP, Empower+, Community Solar, and a tutorial on how to use items in your D.I.Y. energy kit.

Presented by an educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County. Registration required.
